Applications invited from final year B.E./B.Tech students for ‘QuEST Ingenium 2014.

After a successful 3rd edition, India´s largest platform for budding engineers – ´QuEST Ingenium 2014´ is back in its 4th edition which promises to be bigger & better. Presented by QuEST Global, a global leader in engineering services, the company has invited applications for their annual intercollegiate engineering design competition.

´QuEST Ingenium 2013´ edition received a staggering 1400 registrations from colleges across India, reflecting the growing popularity of this contest among engineering students. This year’s Ingenium promises to be even bigger & more exciting with participation from an increased number of colleges from across the country, larger industry representation and a lot more. It is a unique annual competition for engineering students to present their ideas to noted industry professionals and to earn the much deserved recognition and motivation they need. An added draw in this edition of Ingenium is that eligible participants can also look forward to exciting career opportunities at QuEST Global through this platform.

Participation is open to final year B.E. /B.Tech degree projects having direct bearing onto the areas of- Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Power Generation, Automobile and Embedded. The top three teams will receive cash prize of Rs. 100,000, Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.

Registration for teams starts from January 14 to March 16, 2014. Abstract submissions are welcomed from February 10 to March 30, 2014.

Last year, the winners were adjudged by an independent panel of judges represented by industry/ academic veterans such as Prof. R. Natarajan (former Director, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras), Mr. A. S. Mariasundaram (India Engineering Leader, GE Energy) and Mr. V. Ravi (Industry veteran).

Also present were industry icons, Samay Kohli, CEO and co-founder of Grey Orange Robotics; Dr. Ajay Prabhu, COO, QuEST Global.

The winners of 2013 Ingenium were rewarded with a sponsored trip to the largest Airbus facility based in the United Kingdom, in addition to the cash price. The students were taken to the world’s most modern aircraft wing assembly facilities located at the state-of-art Airbus plant in Broughton, North Wales.
