QuEST Global Opens New Facility in Belagavi, Karnataka to Support Aero engine, Oil & Gas, Energy, Automative & Industrial customers
QuEST Global, a leading global engineering services provider, announced today the opening of a new engineering facility in Belagavi, Karnataka. The inauguration will be held on February 28, 2015 at 2 PM IST, and will be presided over by Mr Ajay Prabhu, COO, QuEST Global and Mr Aravind Melligeri, Chairman & CEO, Aequs. Simultaneously, Mr Mark Ashworth, Finance Director, Engineering & Technology & Mr Mike Bradley, Head of Engineering Strategic Resourcing of Rolls-Royce will inaugurate the Rolls-Royce center within this new facility on the same day.
The new facility will provide engineering services and solutions for QuEST’s Fortune 500 Aero Engine, Oil & Gas, Energy, Automotive and other industrial customers. The company currently has 150 employees at Belagavi and plans to hire many more to support increasing demand for engineering services in these sectors. The plan is to grow to 1000 engineers in the coming 3 years.
This 46000 sq. ft. facility with an investment of Rs 18 crores can house around 600 employees with further scope for expansion. It will provide the local talent in North Karnataka the opportunity to work in this state-of-the-art facility with global customers from their home base. “With closer proximity to the manufacturing facilities, we have strategized our footprint in Belagavi as it is home to many talented engineers, who can take advantage of exposure to real shop floor problems and solutions”, says Ajay Prabhu, COO of QuEST Global.
Manufacturing Engineering will be one of the key services along with other engineering services that QuEST will offer from this facility. The company also recently fortified its mechatronics capability with the acquisition of NeSTsoftware and has marked its presence in the automotive sector in Western Europe through the acquisition of EDF GmbH.
