Nodule detection from CT scans using deep learning can give better performance, accuracy and sensitivity than other conventional detection methods. This in turn helps doctors to minimize the time spent on the detailed visual inspection of the CT images. Moreover, detecting the presence of nodules early, leads to better cancer diagnosis and the survival rate can be improved which makes the whole process really rewarding.
