The customer wanted to calculate flow field within ventilation duct system and identify significant loss mechanisms and recommend design modifications to improve performance.
The team constructed a CFD model of domain and a CFD solution to obtain flow splits and pressure distributions. The mass averaged conditions were calculated along the ductwork to identify regions of high loss and flow visualization was done to identify distortion. Design modifications were suggested to improve flow field.
