QuEST India
has set up a CADAM centre in the city. Its president,
Aravind Melligeri who was in the city on Thursday, said the
company has opened Centres for Advanced Design and
Manufacturing (CADAM) in four colleges all over the country
to train future engineers on the latest CAD/CAM
technologies.
He signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Modern College
of Engineering for the opening of a CADAM centre.
"Most of the students do not possess knowledge of the latest
software and then companies have to re-orient them after
they come into the industry", he remarked. "We are now
opening these centres in colleges in cities which are
centres of industry. The basic idea is to accentuate
industry-academia interaction", Melligeri said. |
