A QuEST to fortify board

QuEST, a leading provider of engineering solutions for advanced technology products, has announced the appointment of Mike Propen and Tony Jansz on its board. Their appointment increased the QuEST board size to four. Mike and Tony will now join the founders Aravind Melligeri and Ajit Prabhu to constitute the board.

Propen, an expert in the engineering solutions industry will help QuEST to draw its technological roadmap and advise on matters related to industry partnerships and acquisitions, a press release said.
'Mike is credited with driving productivity through corporate-wide networks and accelerating growth through sharing of best practices and processes. His experience and enthusiasm will be of great value to QuEST', said Prabhu, CEO, QuEST.

Jansz will help the company in strengthening its Asia Pacific business and will open doors within the Carlyle portfolio.

Melligeri, President, QuEST said, 'Tony's induction into the board will strengthen our business prospects in Asia Pacific. His insights into these markets will be of great help to QuEST'.

Prior to joining QuEST in 2002, Mike held the position of Corporate Vice President Technology & Program Management at Honeywell International. He started his career as a design engineer and worked in this position for five years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and then at Lockheed Missiles & Company. In 1977, he joined Textron, where he held various senior positions. In late 1994, he became Vice President of Allied Signal Automotive Products Group.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physics/Mathematics from Queens College, New York, BS degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics from New York University, Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Technological University and an MBA from the University of New Haven, CT.

Tony Jansz is Managing Director, Carlyle, Asian Ventures. Carlyle is a global private equity firm with more than $16 billion under management. The company has recently invested $ six million in QuEST. Prior to joining Carlyle, Jansz spent six years at Intel Corporation, first as General Manager of their Australian and New Zealand operations and ultimately as Director of Corporate Business Development and as part of Intel Asia's Headquarter Staff based in Hong Kong. He also worked with Compaq Computer, Borland Software, Computerland and Tandy Corporation.
Tony has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of New England, Australia, the release said.
